Application Note #1 - RSC

Control through Axon software


Configuration used: Clampex V8 and a Digidata 1320

Driving the RSC-100, -160 & -200 can be done using one of the analog output of the Axon Digidata.

The first thing to do is to configure the chosen analog output (e.g. DAC1): go to the menu {Configure - LabBench}

Then...

Select {Output Signals}{analog OUT#1}{Cmd1}

Enter a Signal unit (e.g. tube#)

Enter 10 as the scale factor (10 tubes/V <=> 100 mV per tube)

Connect the "analog OUT#1" of the Digidata to the "analog in" of the RSC.

Once this is done, the RSC can be controlled manually using the Real-Time Control Panel (RTC) of Clampex...

... or automatically using the Clampex protocol:
